Terms and Conditions

*These terms/conditions and costs are subject to change without notice.

Overfilling

Overfilling of skips is not permitted.  Skips are not to be filled above the top (rim).  No items are to protrude over the rim.  We, Peoples Choice Skip Pty Ltd (“Peoples Choice Skips”) reserve the right to remove any items protruding over the rim in order to legalise its transportation.  Any items removed from the bin will be placed next to where the bin was located prior to it being moved.  We are not required to contact you prior to taking this action.  If, for whatever reason we are unable to remove the protruding items from the bin, the bin will remain at your property until such time as you remove the protruding items and additional cost incurred for leaving the bin at your property for additional time will be borne by you.  We are not liable for any damage incurred to your property/vehicles during the process of removing items from your skip.  Peoples Choice Skips  is indemnified from being held liable for any damage.

Weight Limit

If your skip has a weight limit and you exceed that weight limit according to the weighing bridge at the waste disposal depot you will be liable to pay any additional cost.  Any excess weight costs are required to be paid on the day of disposal.  You will be contacted in order to pay the additional costs of disposing the waste.  The contents of the skip will not be disposed of until such time as full payment of the additional weight has been received.  If originally paid for your skip via credit or debit card, Peoples’ Choice Skips reserve the right to charge the additional costs to your credit/debit card accordingly without verbal contact.

Access

Please ensure there are no items including cars blocking the path for the truck at the pick up/drop off point.  The driver will advise of the safest position to drop the bin on delivery.  Should you require your bin to be placed in another position, this can be negotiated with the driver at the time.  Peoples Choice Skips accepts no responsibility for damage to your property including but not limited to grass, driveway, gardens, trees, carports etc.

 

All futile deliver or collections attempts will incur a fee of $150 per delivery or collection attempt.

Delays

Please ensure there are no situations that could incur waiting time for the driver upon delivery/collection which result in the driver being delayed more than 10 minutes.   Any delay to the driver of 10 minutes or over may incur a demurrage charge pro rata of $1.00 per minute from the 10th minute until such time as the driver has finished parking the truck into position for delivery or collection.

Cancellations

24 hour’s notice is required to cancellation of any skip from Peoples Choice Skips.  Failure to provide 24 hours notice may result in a 10% cancellation fee if required notice is not given.

Delivery

Once a skip has been delivered and placed in position, under no circumstances should it be moved.  If the skip is moved there may be a meed to drag it back to the original position in order to our truck to access it.  In this case, we accept no liability for damage caused to your property/vehicles.  You may be held liable for any damage caused to the truck whilst trying to collect a bin which has been moved.

 

Once the skip has been delivered you are liable for any damage caused to it whilst it is in your care.  Please note, all our skips are in good operational order when delivered to your property.

Unauthorised Waste

If incorrect/unauthorised waste types are loaded into bins, we reserve the right to charge you extra for correct disposal costs at the disposal facility.  If the excess payment is not paid, we reserve the right to return the skip and its contents back to your property without any refund of any kind.  Any additional costs incurred in doing this will be borne by you.

Council

A council permit may be required to place the skip on any council land, this includes nature strips and on the road.  Please contact your local council for advice.  The customer assumes all responsibility for any fines incurred if no permit has been acquired when needed.

 

Peoples Choice Skips reserves the right to refuse delivery of any skip requested to be placed on council land without a permit.

Hire Period

Standard hire period is of up to a 4 day period unless stated otherwise in writing.

Default Payments

We reserve the right to list any default payments with relevant credit reference agencies.

 

In ordering and accepting a skip from Peoples Choice Skips Pty Ltd means you agree to these terms and conditions.

Collection/Use of Information

Any details provided by you via our website or by phone/email may be kept and stored by Peoples Choice Skips Pty Ltd and used for the purpose of marketing or accounts.  This information will not be disclosed to third parties.

 

The security of your personal information is important to us.  Your sensitive information including credit card details is encrypted on our website using Secure Socket Layer technology (“SSL”).  We do not retain these details once the final transaction has been completed and the skip is returned to the storage yard.

 

If you have any questions in relation to our credit card security, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Orders

When placing an order for a skip you will be requested to provide personal information including your name, address, email address, contact phone number and financial information such as your credit card details.  We will use this information for billing purposes to fill your order.  We may use this information to contact you should we have any problems in processing  your order.

Legal

We reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law and disclosure of this information is necessary to protect our rights and or is necessary to comply with judicial proceedings, court orders or legal processes.

Links on the Peoples Choice Skip website to external entities are not covered within this policy.  The terms and conditions set out in this privacy statement only cover the domain name of www.peoplechoiceskips.com.au

Any changes to our privacy policy will be posted on our homepage and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of the information we collect and how we us it and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

Delivery Policy

When ordering online, you will receive an email from eWAY containing your order details.  We will also confirm receipt of your order.  Every effort will be made to deliver your skip on your requested delivery date subject to availability.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Payment is required on or before the service delivery date
  2. Extra charges may apply for excess weight
  3. Contaminated material or other hazardous EPA prescribed wastes, including tyres, batteries, liquids and televisions must NOT be placed in bins.
  4. Asbestos is not permitted in bins.
  5. To indemnify the owner of bin against any liability for damages caused to any driveway, pavement, path, kerbing, or other surfaces as a result of function performed.
  6. The owner of the bin will not accept any responsibility for any injured person or persons or damage to property belongings to the customer or any other persons arising out of the service, however such injury or damage was caused.
  7. Overloaded bins will NOT be transported.

Refund and Returns Policy

All cancellations will incur a 10% cancellation fee providing notice is given by 5pm on the business day prior to your scheduled delivery. If you cancel your order after 5pm the business day prior to the scheduled delivery of your skip bin, you will be charged a flat fee of $100.00 GST Inclusive. If you change your mind in regard to the size of the bin required once the bin is already loaded onto the truck or once it arrives at your property, you will incur a $100.00 GST Inclusive charge fee for us to make a second delivery to your property with the correct size skip bin. If you are not finished with the skip bin when we arrive to collect the skip bin on the agreed day, you will incur a $100.00 GST Inclusive fee. This fee can be avoided by requesting an extension of the skip bin in writing.
